Some moments change everything. For Sally Crow, it was a single chord.
In the 1980s, during a soundcheck at the Wolnzach Jazz Mass, Smoke on the Water echoed through an old church. In that instant, everything became clear: this was the beginning of a journey that would never end.
From the very start, Sally was driven by a deep love for rock and heavy metal; honest music without gimmicks, full of real emotion, raw energy, and authenticity. Together with his best friend Bernd Lober on drums, he founded his first band. Soon, Charly Striegler, Dio, and Roland Biebl joined in. Five guys, one dream, endless noise, and even more passion.
What began in a small 12-square-meter basement rehearsal room grew into something bigger at an old country estate in Giebitz. Long nights, loud guitars, wild parties; a place where they laughed, argued, celebrated, and above all: made music. Those years left memories that none of them would ever forget.
In the late 1990s, Sally launched Innocent Dream, a project defined by emotion and depth. Songs like Time Has Come revealed a more reflective and mature side of his songwriting. Darker, more intense, yet still burning with fire. Tragically, after the disappearance of guitarist Robin Schulz, the project came to an abrupt end.
But giving up was never an option.
In the early 2000s, Sally returned with renewed strength through Stringkiller. Together with Mike “Spike” Sperner (Railway) and bassist Martin Mundigl, he created new songs, new sounds, and a fresh surge of creative energy – music straight from the gut, hitting listeners right in the heart.
Then came a quieter phase.
Silence, however, never meant standing still. Sally built his own studio, originally known as AVM Records, a creative space where ideas could grow freely, where producing, experimenting, and dreaming never stopped.
In 2020, everything came full circle with Direction Victory. What began as a project evolved into a fully realized vision and ultimately became Direction Victory Studio Mainburg. With guitarist Goran Vedris, Sally found a new musical soulmate who continues to carry and expand that vision.
Today, Sally Crow stands for everything rock ’n’ roll truly represents: honesty, passion, resilience, and the unstoppable power to begin again.

January 19, 2026 - Lonestar - Direction Victory - Sally Crow and Goran Vedriš
This debut release marks the first official song by the band, blending Metal and Rock into a powerful yet atmospheric sound. Driven by heavy guitars and an emotional core, the track explores themes of perception, inner doubt, and finding direction when everything feels vast and overwhelming.
The song moves between moody, introspective verses and a strong, uplifting chorus, creating a sense of contrast between darkness and clarity. Lyrically, it reflects on how fear and uncertainty can distort reality, and how looking beyond them can reveal calm and purpose.
Vocals are performed by Sally Crow, who also contributes additional instruments, delivering an expressive and intimate performance that anchors the song’s emotional weight. All guitar parts are written and recorded by Goran Vedriš, whose layered riffs and melodic leads shape the track’s powerful Metal-Rock identity.
As the band’s first official release, this song sets the foundation for their sound: honest, expansive, and driven by atmosphere as much as intensity.
