Sava / Mira Valeska is a unique reimagining of one of the most beloved compositions by Croatian groove-fusion band Robostrop & The CEO. Originally released as the instrumental track "Sava" on the band's 2021 album Samo duboko, the song has now been transformed into an entirely new experience through the addition of English lyrics and vocals.
Robostrop & The CEO, an instrumental world groove fusion band from Zagreb, Croatia, are known for blending oriental melodies, western funk, jazz fusion, psychedelic rock and the festive energy of the Balkans into a distinctive musical identity. For this special version, the original instrumental masterpiece "Sava" has been expanded into "Sava / Mira Valeska", featuring newly written lyrics inspired by the flowing, ever-changing nature of the River Sava. Rather than telling a love story, the lyrics paint a poetic portrait of a mysterious woman named Mira, whose character reflects the movement, depth and unpredictability of the river itself.
A major new dimension has been added through the stunning vocal performance of Dutch singer Denise E. Her warm, expressive voice effortlessly blends with the band's sophisticated fusion sound, bringing emotion, atmosphere and narrative depth to a composition that was already highly regarded in its instrumental form.
